Slug Error Checking

This one is fairly straightforward. Basically, I think that there should be some error checking to be performed on a slug name/description before the post is submitted.
I made a test post earlier and gave it a slug of .. and it turned out exactly as I expected, going up a directory when turned into a link after the post was created. I would imagine that this also would occur when combined with '/'.
Just a thought, I'm not sure if this is something you'd want to do or not.

I'd rather keep the field unsanitized, because its purpose is to allow them to put whatever they want the URL to be in that field.
I appreciate the suggestion though.
