Post Browsing Using Calendar

I think that it would be nice if it were an option to use a calendar to select posts. While the current monthly listing on the side is nice, a calendar would help a user find a particular post if they know the date and don't feel like scrolling through an entire month of posts. It would also let users see patterns of activity based on days of the week or time of month.
I'm not sure if this would fall under a module or a theme change, so I chose both tags.
